Ella Girl

Would you just take a look that that cutie!? Ella is 'that baby' who is always happy, and if she's not you know she needs more FOOD ;) This little bundle of joy makes me smile and laugh SO many times a day it's crazy!
It really is an unexplainable feeling to describe the love a mother has for her children! Especially when you have two girls as cute as mine :)

hAiRcUt!

Before:
(I know, the whole tacky taking a picture of a picture thing. This picture was too cute not to share! Evie had her first school pictures! What a STUNNA! This picture was taken just a few days before we decided to cut her hair!)

During:
(3 year olds and technology . . . amazing. She makes my computer and phone do things I never knew they were capable of doing.)

After:
(She hated it. NO, JUST KIDDING ;) She was tired LOL! And I don't know if anyone else knows this, but 3 year olds are pretty complicated. I think she may have been upset with her BFF Chloe! GIRLS! Anyways, I LOVE Evie's new haricut! It's so fun and will be just the right length for summer . . . . YAY SUMMER!)

The reason we decided to cut Evie's hair in the first place is because I caught Evie with Braden's nose hair trimmers (you know, those tiny scissors!?) and she was trying to cut her hair. Luckily, I caught her just in the 'nick' of time! I explained we should NEVER cut our own hair and asked her if she would like to get a haircut. Hence, the hair cut (courtesy of Evie's "other mother" Shelli, whom Evie actually calls mom). THANKS SHELL!

and . . . . WE'RE BACK! We finally got a sweet new computer that makes blogging much easier! YAY! I'll be backlogging, but I'm just going to focus on moving forward now! Whoooo!
So, first things first: What's been going on around here!?
BABY ELLA! She's now 7 months (insert shedding of tears) I'm so confused how this happened. She's such a sweet baby! I can't believe that she is already on her way to being 1 year! Ella Zoe has the cutest personality! She's always smiling (or eating, not that you can't tell). She makes us all so happy. Ella is on the verge of crawling, she's SO close! She might just crawl if we put a big cheeseburger in front of her ;) Ell just adores her big sister Evie, she lights right up when Evie plays with her. Evie likes to do dances for Ella and make her laugh. Evie calls Ella "Big Chubby" (I'm sure Ella will appreciate this in High School LOL) I'm so happy they have each other. They will be the best of friends.

Next, Evie is a PRESCHOOLER! She has been loving school! She has the sweetest teachers and has learned so much! It's amazing what you can teach a 3 year old! They are like little sponges! Evie can recognize her own name and is learning to write it. I asked Evie what her favorite thing about preschool is and she said, "GYM!". She also likes snack time and makes sure to tell me each day what they had for a snack.

Besides preschool, Evie is in Pre-Dance. They do a little ballet, tap and tumbling. She goes with her besty, Chloe G! They keep each other going! We wonder what life would be like if they didn't have each other.

So all in all life is good :) We are all healthy (thanks to spring on the horizon) and happy! Can't wait to keep up on my blog so I don't feel so guilty all the time! As Braden says, "Peace Out!"

"Evie-isms"

Had to jot down a few random things that Evie has been saying/doing before they slip my mind. She comes up with the funniest things!

  • About her favorite shoes: "Kitty boots, kitty boots I LOVE YOU!"
  • About her favorite person (herself haha): "Evie Evie I love you! I love you yes I do, I love you yes I do!" And also: "La la la la la I love EVIE!" (She got this from Despicable Me, the part where she sings La la la la la I love unicorns)
  • The first night Braden and I were home from Texas (blog about this later), Evie slept in our bed the entire night. When she woke up, she looked over at Braden and then at me and gave a huge sigh of relief! She was happy to have us home :)
  • She lifted up Braden's shirt tonight and said "Baby Daddy!" HAHAHA! Let's just say this pregnancy/baby thing has her all confused!
  • Evie for sure has her own language, and most of the time she speaks that rather than English. All we can do is be patient and try to interpret. She's been playing with her little cousin Chloe who, bless her heart, really tries to understand Evie's ramblings. The other day Chloe looks at Evie and says, "Evie, WHAT?!" (Don't worry Chlo, I have to do that multiple times throughout the day too :) Thanks for listening! You and Sayd are such sweethearts to Evie.)

A peach!

At my 1st doctors appointment the due date he gave me, and the # of weeks he told me didn't match up. I didn't put two and two together for a few weeks.
Last week I had another appointment and said, "You've got to get your ducks in a row doc!" So we concluded (after an ultrasound) that the due date he gave me was right, the # of weeks was wrong!
I'm 14 weeks now :) My sweet little babe is about the size of a peach. I wish it was much larger so I could justify all the extra weight that keeps appearing :(
I was miserably sick in the beginning, but am starting to feel more human now :) THANK YOU 2nd Trimester! I'm actually beginning to enjoy pregnancy a little bit! It seems like I've been much less stressed with baby #2, and more excited! It's nice not to worry so much, and just let it be!
We love you little peachy baby!

I just need . . .

1st of all . . . I plan on updating our blog ASAP! I hate when I let it get so far behind!
Next of all, I NEED:
  1. Summer to hurry here! I am so over winter this year!
  2. Invisible people to come clean my house. I don't want to feel guilty or anything . . . :)
  3. Energy . . . PLEASE! I feel like a bump on a log!
  4. Wellness! I think we are finally (knock on wood) over all the sickness and misery lingering around. I just want to feel awesome!
  5. Life to 'pause' when I need a nap!
  6. Mostly, I need you all to know that the above 5 are because EVIE IS GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!
We are super excited at the Robinson house! Braden has been wanting another baby FOREVER! I made the poor guy wait until I felt ready! And although Evie doesn't totally understand, she is very excited! She loooves babies. I know she will be extra helpful :)
We are expecting baby Robinson #2 to make his/her appearance in August. I am about 14 weeks, and hopefully can start feeling more like a human soon :)

My big girl!

Can I just say, Evie is like a grown up girl these days! Everything about that girl just blows my mind! Her hair is SO long, when I pull on the curls her hair is to the middle of her back! WHAT!? She cooks food for us with her kitchen, we get pizza, drink refills, you name it! Just today I hung up a bird on the fridge that she made at story time . . . She's making crafts already!? We've gone to Jump N Jive about 4 times now, each time she gets a little more brave. Now, rather than sliding down the slides, she jumps from the top to the bottom. It scares me. She laughs her butt off. She sings "The wheels on the bus" like it's nobody's business! She memorized all the actions to "Catch a falling star". And last but not least, she had another evaluation recently, to make sure she's up to speed, and GUESS WHAT!? They told us that had Evie not been given a diagnoses of 'hearing loss' they would not be able to help us anymore, because she's doing so well! That tickles me to death! I'm so proud of my little miss! :)
